At DANGERLUXE® we are committed to maintaining the trust, confidence and privacy of visitors and customers on our website. Here you will find information on how we treat data that we collect via our site.

WHAT INFORMATION IS COLLECTED?

VISITORS to our website;

When anyone visits www.dangerluxe.co.uk our eCommerce site provider; Shopify, records anonymous analytical data that is then relayed to us via a dashboard that provides us with details of website visitor numbers and product views. There is no way for us to identify anyone from this data. Please see the Shopify policies for more information.

Our store is hosted by Shopify, they provide us with the online eCommerce platform that enables us to sell our products to you.

CUSTOMERS on our website;

When a purchase is made we are provided with the following information only;

  • NAME
  • ADDRESS
  • EMAIL ADDRESS (If PayPal account email address differs from order email, we are privy to this secondary email address also.)
  • TELEPHONE NUMBER (If supplied, may be passed on to courier dependent upon service used.)
  • ITEM(s) ORDERED

This personal data is only used in a lawful basis to enable us to fulfil and perform our contractual obligations to you- to fulfil your order. This includes a follow up order update email upon despatch and in the instance of any issues, to contact you to rectify any problems or queries.

This data is collected via an SSL Encrypted page. Please see our SSL SECURITY ENCRYPTION details. The information will subsequently be kept securely on file for our own internal record keeping in line with HMRC accounts record keeping requirements; for a period of 5 financial years.

We will not use your data for marketing purposes and will not sell, distribute or lease your personal data to any third parties unless we are required legally to do so.  We may on occasion be required to share data with other organisations (HMRC) but will ensure all data is anonymised.

We are not privy to any financial information as we use external processors; Shopify Payments & PayPal, who complete any monetary transactions on our behalf.

CONTACT FORM or DIRECT EMAIL CONTACT    Should you use our 'contact' page or email us directly with any queries we are provided with the following information only;

  • NAME
  • EMAIL ADDRESS
  • MESSAGE

In this instance it is necessary for us to use the personal and contact information provided by you for legitimate interests; 

  • In order for us to assist and support you with the use of our website.
  • For the administration of DANGERLUXE - provision of customer service, troubleshooting help and suchlike. 
  • There may be contractual reasons should the contact be made in relation to a purchase made previously.
  • If the contact has been made in relation to your personal data, we then have a legal obligation to use the information provided to contact you. 

We will only contact you in relation to the submitted message, this information is only retained for as long as is necessary to deal with your enquiry after which all data will be deleted.

 

LINKS TO OTHER WEBSITES   This privacy policy does not cover any links that may be placed on our website to external sites/social media platforms, they are not governed by this policy so you will need to check their own privacy notices to check their policies and compliance.

ACCESS TO YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION   You are entitled to view, amend or request that we delete any of your personal information that we hold, email your request for the attention of our Data Protection Officer via our Contact page.

DATA PROTECTION COMPLAINTS   Should you wish to make a complaint if you feel your data has been used against your understanding or wishes, please email us at info@dangerluxe.co.uk putting 'Data Protection Complaint' in the header so we can follow  this up as a matter of priority.

CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY   This policy has been created in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) that came in to effect on 25 MAY 2018 that is to ensure the protection of personal data for individuals as per UK & EU law. We will keep our Privacy Notice under continuous review so data is subject to change at any point without notice.

Some of the pages on our website, in order to work properly, place small text files on your browsing device (PC, phone, tablet, etc) to improve our service and help our website provide a better user experience.

Our full site, hosted by eCommerce provider Shopify via a personal web-domain has full SSL Certification as has the Shopify Payments & PayPal payment gateways that is fully encrypted and secured...we are however only given the following information in order to complete a sale;

ADDRESS

CONTACT EMAIL

ORDERED ITEM(s)

We are not privy to any other sensitive data. (Card details, etc)

                             

SSL, or “secure sockets layer”, is security encryption technology used on lots of websites to prevent evildoers on the internet from stealing or intercepting info submitted via online forms.

All Shopify hosted pages are fully SSL encrypted using the strongest protections available, so the personal details and payment info you enter when buying items in our shop will be safe and sound.
